Lived and Living Experience is Expertise.
Peer support creates connection, understanding, and hope by bringing together people with shared experiences. It reminds us that no one has to navigate life’s challenges alone—and that lived and living experience has real value.
This October 15, Peer Support Canada is inviting people and organizations across Canada to celebrate Global Peer Support Celebration Day. It’s a call to recognize the contributions of peer support workers, raise awareness of the impact of peer support, and affirm its place in healthcare, education, workplaces, community organizations, and beyond.
Together, we can build communities and systems where peer support workers are valued, respected, and supported.
Because peer support belongs wherever people seek understanding, hope, and connection.
This Global Peer Support Celebration Day, we’re celebrating the many places peer support belongs—wherever people seek understanding, hope, and connection.
Lived and living experience is expertise, and today we celebrate the peer support workers who put that expertise into practice every day.
